Annual EEO Public File Report Canyon Media Broadcasting, LLC The purpose of this EEO Public File Report (“Report”) is to comply with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule. This Report has been prepared on behalf of the Stations Employment Unit that is comprised of the following station (s): KONY, St. George, KPLD, Kanab, KZNU, St. George, KZHK, St. George. The information contained in this Report covers the time period beginning May 21, 2008 _to and including May 20, 2009__(the “Applicable Period”). The FCC’s 2002 EEO Rule requires that this Report contain the following information: A list of all full-time vacancies filled by the Station (s) comprising the Station Employment Unit during the Applicable Period; For each such vacancy, the recruitment source(s) utilized to fill the vacancy (including, if applicable, organizations entitled to notification pursuant to Section 7302080 (c) (1)(ii) of the new EEO Rule, which should be separately identified), identified by name, address, contact person and telephone number; The recruitment source that referred the hiree for each full-time vacancy during the Applicable Period; Data reflecting the total number of persons interviewed for full-time vacancies during the Applicable Period and the total number of interviewees referred by each recruitment source utilized in connection with such vacancies; and A list and brief description of the initiatives undertaken pursuant to Section 7302080(c)(2) of the FCC rules. Section 3: Supplemental (Non-Vacancy Specific) recruitment Activities Undertaken by KONY, St. George, KPLD, Kanab, KZNU, St. George, KZHK, St. George Management level personnel attended the St. George area business expo, June 2008. They met with prospective employees interested in employment opportunities with Canyon Media. The Sales Management team and Public Relations team attended the Southern Utah University Job Fair, September 2008, and met with prospective employees and interns interested in positions with Canyon Media. The Sales Management team and Public Relations team attended the Dixie College Job Fair, April 22, 2009, and met with prospective employees and interns interested in positions and careers with Canyon Media. The Canyon Media staff periodically conducts tours of our facility for Cub Scout, Boy Scout and employment groups to inform them of the education and training that may be required to obtain employment or advance a career in the broadcasting industry. Team members from the On-Air staff periodically visit career classes at local schools and talk about the radio industry, including the education and training that may be required to advance a career in the industry. During this reporting period, refresher EEO trainings were done, including one on May 20, 2009. All departments meet semi-annually to discuss EEO reporting and are reminded of the responsibilities to post all job opening and the paperwork required after the job has been filled.
